Varahi is a Hindu goddess who is worshipped as one of the Matrikas, the seven mother goddesses. She has the head of a boar and represents the power of Varaha, the third avatar of Vishnu. She is also the commander-in-chief of the army of Lalitha Tripura Sundari, the supreme goddess of Shaktism.

Varahi is more commonly venerated in the sect of the Goddess-oriented Shaktism, but also in Shaivism (devotees of Shiva) and Vaishnavism (devotees of Vishnu). She is usually worshipped at night, using secretive Vamamarga Tantric practices.

Worshipping Varahi can bring many benefits to her devotees, such as granting boons, removing obstacles, bringing success and good fortune, and protecting from enemies and evil forces. She is also associated with the planet Mars and the direction North.

To worship Varahi, one can perform puja and archana to her statue or portrait, using flowers, fruits, kumkum, and other offerings. She likes boiled sweet potatoes, urad dhal vada, pomegranate fruit, tamarind rice, and lemon rice as naivedya. She can be invoked by chanting her mantras and shlokas for 3, 21, or 108 times. Praying to Varahi for one mandala (48 days) is believed to bestow her choicest blessings upon the devotee and help them realize their genuine wishes.
